Theatre Workshop Coulsdon

Theatre Workshop Coulsdon (TWC) was formed in 1970 as an offshoot from the Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation and we pride ourselves on our long track record of innovation and experimental work, having staged almost 50 completely original productions, either home-grown, adapted, or written specifically for TWC.  Original or not, all our productions tend towards the bold, exuberant, and generally larger than life. We don’t do ‘staple’ amateur dramatic fare: farces, whodunnits, schmaltzy musicals. We prefer a different approach. In fact, we’re not like other amateur theatre groups at all. We’re informal, with a simple philosophy: To aim for the highest possible standards in every aspect of our productions – but never at the expense of enjoying ourselves. In other words – we take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Well, not too much. We rehearse at the Coulsdon Community Centre on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 10pm, and see our website for details of our latest and upcoming productions.
