For some, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem) ranks as his greatest compositional achievement, profoundly affecting all who hear it. Finished in 1868, the Requiem appeared at the midpoint of his life and is full of hope and peace, making it the ‘Requiem of Consolation’. The Whitgift Chamber Choir, together with the Choirs of Croydon Minster and the Whitgift-Minster Choral Society, join forces with the Academy of Haling Park under the direction of Mr Ronny Krippner.
