Steve Tilston is one of our most celebrated songsmiths, widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music. The words, arrangements and subtle and superb guitar-playing couldn't be anyone else's.

Born in Liverpool and raised in the Midlands, Steve made his recording debut in 1971 with the classic 'An Acoustic Confusion' and has been turning out quality albums ever since.

Steve wrote such classics as 'The Slipjigs and Reels', 'Here’s to Tom Paine' (the adopted theme song for the Tom Paine Society of America) and the award-winning 'The Reckoning'.

His latest solo album 'Truth to Tell' has been widely-acclaimed by the media and fans alike and he’s just released 'The Janus Game', an album co-written and performed with fellow songwriter Jez Lowe.

A few years ago, the chance discovery of a letter to him from John Lennon (which someone stole and sold) suddenly made Steve headline news.

"...my all-time favourite songwriter...a fine singer who combines beautifully executed original melodies with superb lyrics on almost every subject under the sun" Wizz Jones
