Rob Murch is a leading figure in the playing of English fingerstyle banjo. This style was very popular at the turn of the 20th century. He met Michelle Holding, the well-known guitar-, concertina- and banjo-player and singer of traditional and contemporary British and American songs, at a banjo workshop he was leading and she began learning classic fingerstyle banjo under his guidance.

They started meeting at festivals and events to share a mixture of fingerstyle banjo duets, songs they like, and arrangements of American tunes.

Rob and Michelle are taking tunes, both old and new, and breathing fresh life into them.
