CROWD: The Next Men plus special guest Kiko Bun
10-Jul-2018 09:51

CROWD is back with another pop-up event in the heart of Croydon with DJ sets, bars and street food and featuring the ultimate party pairing that is The Nextmen plus special guest Kiko Bun to town.

The Nextmen could offer you a musical masterclass in people pleasing but you’d be too busy dancing your ass off to take notes. Ask any festival from Glasto to Bestival and Lovebox who they call to smash a party, every Notting Hill Carnival since forever, Big Chill, T In The Park, or Let Them Eat Cake. Or any club from Fabric to The Warehouse Project to Black Dog Ballroom, YoYo, Space Ibiza, Electric Ballroom, Womb Tokyo, Egg, Lux, or The Prince in Melbourne – and these boys have happily crushed said dance floors into oblivion.

This is the best of times, the tunes are endless and mastery of turntablism and musical innovation resound.

The Nextmen, (also known as Brad Baloo and Dom Search) are DJs and producers/songwriters, and are eclectic to say the least. Modern pop? It’s a nutriblend of musical abandon – dancehall, drum’n’bass, reggae, roots, instrumental and actual hip hop, soul, indie, leftfield, ambient, pop and straight-up pleasers.

With their latest album ‘The Nextmen vs. Gentlemen’s Dub Club – Pound for Pound’ only just released this is exciting times for this unstoppable duo.

Kiko Bun (also a guest vocalist on ‘Pound for Pound’) will be bringing his twin influences of 90s era boom bap hip hop and old school roots and rocksteady classics make for a vibrant and sun-soaked sound to the party too!

And all of this underpinned by our good friends and masters of mixology mayhem STREET COCKTAILS and their party-righteous sound system crew.

OVER 21s event.
