Director: Brady Corbet ● Stars: Liam Cunningham, Bérénice Bejo, Robert Pattinson, Stacy Martin.
What happens to a lonely little boy, living in a big house in a foreign country? While his American father (Cunningham) plays an ineffectual bit-part in the Versailles peace conference, and his German mother (Bejo) shows little interest in him, young Prescott drifts gradually to the dark side.
Corbet’s debut feature is both a handsome period drama and a wonderfully sinister psychological mystery. Newcomer Tom Sweet gives an excellent performance as the monster-to-be.
With one showing at 7.30pm ONLY.
